A way to make your own Cannabis Oil at home using our Extra Virgin Olive Oil! Ingredients: – 1 cup (7 grams) of ground cannabis flower – 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil
- A Strainer – Grinder (do NOT use a blender or coffee grinder, it will destroy your flower)
- Double-boiler / slow cooker/ saucepan
Grind up your weed, but not so much that the pieces are small enough to fit through the strainer. You can use the whole plant or just the flower if that’s what you prefer.
Combine the olive oil and ground cannabis and cook on low for a few hours, stirring occasionally.
If you are using a slow cooker, set it to low for 4-6 hours. If you are using a double-boiler, cook on low for 6-8 hours. If you are using a saucepan, cook for 3 hours, stirring frequently to avoid burning.
The olive oil should not exceed 118 degrees Celsius.
Let the oil cool down for a while and then strain it. Store the oil in an airtight container. The oil will last two months in a cabinet or pantry, and three or more months in the refrigerator.
